As we embark on this new academic year, we are thrilled to welcome many new faces to our school family---both students and staff. With growth comes opportunity, and we are especially excited about the positive impact of our newly adopted Core Knowledge Language Arts (CKLA) curriculum. Grounded in scientific principles, CKLA is already beginning to show promising results, particularly with our youngest learners. We are confident that this curriculum will elevate our students’ academic understanding to new heights.
At Long Neck, we hold students to the highest expectations. We expect them to be safe, respectful, responsible, successful, and to demonstrate integrity in all that they do. We firmly believe that all students can rise to meet these standards, and by doing so, they will not only achieve academic success but will also grow as leaders of Long Neck Elementary.
In today’s ever-changing educational landscape, it is clear that we must all work together to ensure that our children reach their fullest potential. We are committed to creating a collaborative “extended family” environment where the school and the community unite for the success of every student. By empowering our children with creative thinking, intellectual skills, and decision-making abilities, we prepare them to thrive academically, socially, physically, and emotionally as responsible leaders in our community.
