The Spring Meadow Early Childhood Center opened in Fall 2012 on the Fairview Campus. Our school serves a diverse and lively population of 5-year olds who enjoy a common kindergarten experience at our school before entering an elementary "feeder school" for first grade.

Instruction at SMECC centers upon the whole child – with experiences designed to expand mental, physical, emotional and social development. Our curriculum includes: language and literacy, mathematics, scientific exploration, creative expression, and physical education activities which reflect our commitment to an anti-bias, multicultural environment.

Though schedules may vary from class to class, each day includes periods of time that are basic: a time for sharing, clarifying and evaluating; large blocks of time when each child can choose his or her own activities from a variety of learning areas; and time for a balance of quiet and active experiences.
