Dear Lake Forest East Elementary School Community,

I am thrilled to continue my journey with you as your returning Principal. My name is Jeffrey Sheehan, and while I am a veteran principal, this marks my third year here at Lake Forest East Elementary. I am excited to continue on this journey with all of you, our dedicated staff, enthusiastic students, and supportive parents and guardians.

At Lake Forest East Elementary, we prioritize two fundamental pillars: student safety and literacy. Ensuring the safety and well-being of our students is of utmost importance to me. Every child should come to school knowing that they are in a secure and nurturing environment where they can learn and grow to their fullest potential. Together, we will continue to implement and refine safety protocols to provide a safe haven for our students.

Literacy is the key that unlocks a world of knowledge and opportunities. As we all know, the ability to read and comprehend is fundamental to a child's educational journey. I am committed to maintaining the strength of our literacy programs and initiatives, working closely with our dedicated educators to ensure that every student not only learns to read but develops a lifelong love for reading.
